At Arena, the condition of your hair means everything to us. We have always included Epres Bond Repair in all our colour bowls, but we are now taking things to the next level.
From 26th November 2025, all our highlighting services, all-over colours, balayage and scalp bleaches will automatically include K18 as well.
Together, Epres and K18 repair your hair from the inside out, leaving your freshly coloured hair feeling noticeably healthier, stronger, and more resilient than ever.
If you prefer not to have this treatment included, simply let us know when booking and we will deduct £15 from your service.
However, we highly recommend keeping this upgrade in place—our guests consistently notice:

Updates to Our Gender-Neutral Cut & Blow-Dry Services
From 26th November 2025, all gender-neutral haircuts and stand-alone blow-dries will now include:
-A detox shampoo
-A prescriptive treatment mask tailored to your hair’s needs
-A conditioning seal to lock everything in
This combination ensures a cleaner scalp, a balanced canvas for styling, and beautifully improved blow-dry results that can last 3–6 days, depending on your hair type.
If this treatment is added to a colour appointment, we’ll deduct £5.If you’d like to opt out entirely, please let us know when booking and we’ll remove £5 from the service.

We are a gender neutral salon. This means your service cost is now based solely on:

Colour Analysis – Exclusive to Arena
We are proud to be the only salon in Plymouth offering Colour Analysis.
During this service, we place drapes over your shoulders to determine your skin’s undertone (cool or warm), then guide you towards the hair colours, make-up shades and clothing tones that naturally suit you best.
You can even go a step further and discover your season, our perfect palette for hair, make-up, clothing and accessories. It’s like having your very own Gok Wan moment in Plymouth!
Our Mini Colour Analysis is just £20 and we recommend it for every guest having colour.
Most people believe they know their undertone, but trust us, so many get it wrong!
Add it to your next appointment by calling or texting the salon.
Deposits
A 50% deposit is required to secure all appointments.
For rebooking's, deposits are due 7–9 days before your appointment.
Deposits are deducted from your service or kept on your account for future bookings.
Cancellations/rescheduling within 72 hours are non-refundable.
A reminder text is sent 24 hours before your visit.
Skin Testing
We require all new colour guests to have a skin test at least 48 hours before their appointment.
If you’re an existing guest but haven’t coloured your hair in over six months, we’ll need to re-test you.
As an eco-friendly, zero-waste salon, we apply a £2 green fee to every appointment to support our sustainability efforts.
Colour Charges
Colour services have a product allowance built in.
If your hair requires extra colour due to length or thickness, additional charges may apply.
Before Your Colour Appointment
Please arrive with clean, dry hair.
Modern ammonia-free colours work best on fresh hair—gone are the days of “come with dirty hair”!
Before Hair-Up or Make-Up
Hair-Up
Please wash and dry your hair the night before or the morning of your appointment.
Make-Up
-Exfoliate the night before
-Arrive with clean, moisturised skin
-You’re welcome to bring any products you’d like us to use
Teaming Up
For longer colour appointments, we may assign two stylists to work together—ensuring your visit is efficient and enjoyable. Additional time with a second stylist is charged at a fixed rate per 15 minutes.
What to Wear
We take protective clothing seriously, and while rare, colour accidents can happen.
To avoid any issues:
-Avoid hoodies and roll-necks
-Keep arms and legs under the gown
-Wear older clothing just in case
-Dress warmly in winter—our beautiful old building can get chilly!
Arena cannot be held responsible for damage to personal clothing.

Our Prices Reflect the ever-changing market. They can fluctuate due to increases within the business at any time. Please check our booking system for prices or get in touch.

A consultation beforehand can also give you a clearer idea of cost.
On-Time Arrival
Please arrive 5 minutes early to get settled comfortably.
Late arrivals may result in a shorter appointment as we must honour our schedule.
Changes to Your Appointment
Sometimes we may need to move your appointment slightly.
If the change is 15–30 minutes, you’ll receive a text.
If more than 30 minutes, we’ll contact you directly.
